It’s important to note that quite a few of Bandai Namco’s card games have ended support over the years. Some games were limited to specific regions, or only lasted for a few sets before shutting down. We’re going to look at the games that are still supported, for the most part.

Battle Spirits Saga, and the even more unfortunate prequel game, Battle Spirits, has sadly come to an end early in 2025. That said, it had a fairly impressive run during its time.

As the sequel to Battle Spirits, an incredibly popular trading card game from Japan that also had a failed worldwide release, Battle Spirits Saga had a lot to live up to, and despite not quite getting there, still had a fantastic run. Bandai Namco did a ton of work to help support the game, getting celebrities to help advertise it as well as upgrading prize support to include cash payouts, a first in Bandai Namco’s card game history.

For fans of Battle Spirits Saga, this game will live on in binders, decks, and collections worldwide.

Gundam Card Game

Hype Builds

While it is a bit early to talk much about the Gundam Card Game, there is a lot of evidence pointing to a fantastic game. With both 1-v-1 and multiplayer formats coming out at launch, the Gundam Card Game has a ton of potential to shake up the bigger, established card games.

The Gundam property has a massive history to pull from, with dozens of series, OVAs, manga, and more to pick from, there is going to be no shortage for inspiration for this card game to utilize.

The Gundam Card Game has a worldwide release on July 25, 2025.

Digimon Card Game

A Dedicated Fanbase

Digimon Card Game Cover

The Digimon Card Game pulls a lot of inspiration from older TCGs, namely the Security Area and the Digivolving elements, but what helps set it apart from other card games is that it evolves these systems in ways that are both unique and incredibly fun.

Decks are smaller in the Digimon Card game, with players using only a 50 card deck and a one to six card Digi-Egg deck, with a goal of attacking your opponent until their Security Area is gone and you can attack your opponent directly for the win.

What helps set the Digimon Card Game apart from other games is a new mechanic called the Memory, which acts as the central resource for the game. The neat thing about this is that both you and your opponent work off of the same tracker. As you play cards that have a higher memory cost, you will be giving your opponent more memory to spend on their turn, creating a unique balancing act between resource denial and playing impactful cards.

Union Arena

Union Arena

Original Release Date

June 29, 2024

If you can’t pick just one anime property to jump into from the Bandai Namco list, you can always dive into the Union Arena game. This game brings together several different anime universes like:

  • Bleach
  • Hunter x Hunter
  • Jujutsu Kaisen
  • Attack On Titan
  • Blue Lock
  • Black Clover
  • Demon Slayer

And many, many more. The downside to this is that cards from different series cannot be combined into the same deck, which is a bit of a bummer for players looking to build unique brews.

The nice thing though about this is that since the sets all use a shared rules set, it still feels like the same game.

Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World

Break Through Your Limits

The simplified version of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game Masters, Fusion World is intended to be a more streamlined approach to the game, with easier mechanics, a smaller card pool (for now), and is a bit more friendly to new players.

That’s not to say there isn’t depth to find in Fusion World, quite the opposite. Decks are built around a central character, called Leader Cards, like Goku, Vegeta, Broly, and more. The game has a healthy tournament scene and gets a fair amount of support, with the latest sets dipping into Dragon Ball Daima for new cards.

One Piece Card Game

Original Release Date

March 7, 2022

It should come as no surprise that the most popular and best Bandai Namco card game mirrors one of the most beloved anime of all time, One Piece. The One Piece Card Game follows many of the same mechanics as other Bandai Namco TCGs, with a leader to guide your deck and life points that have to be removed before you can win. Picking up a starter deck is a great way to get into the game, while building your own deck is a ton of fun too.

What helps set the One Piece Card Game apart from anything else is the fascinating use of its resource system, the DON!! cards. These cards exist in a separate deck from your main deck and can be used either as a resource to play your cards or you can use them to give your leader or your characters +1,000 power.
