Marvel Rivals Adds Hands To Zombie Doctor Stranger Skin In Latest Patch

Share

Summary

  • Marvel Rivals will add the missing hands from the zombie Doctor Strange skin in the latest patch.
  • Players were upset as the zombie hands were in all promotional material, but disappeared once the skin was purchased.
  • The community is happy that NetEase listens to feedback.

There are plenty of reasons why Marvel Rivals has been so popular. Whether it’s the balanced gameplay, packed content roadmap, or even the cakey behinds, there are a lot of reasons to love the hero shooter. However, one of the main reasons why the community has stuck with the game – and why it has managed to hold onto its player base better than any other multiplayer – is because the devs listen to them.

Marvel Rivals Sets Outrageous Expectations With Season 1

No matter how NetEase tries to reset expectations, there will be a lot of disappointment in Marvel Rivals’ future.

NetEase has set a precedent when it comes to player feedback. For instance, when fans weren’t happy about the mid-season rank reset, the devs walked back the plan, even though players regretted it later. The devs even doubled down on the cakes with the Venom twerk emote and new skins. Another instance was noted today, and it’s related to Doctor Strange’s zombie skin.

NetEase Adds The Missing Hands To Doctor Strange’s Zombie Skins After Fan Backlash

The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness skin was advertised everywhere with the additional zombie hands, making it one of the Sorcerer Supreme’s best skins. However, upon purchase, the additional hands were not visible in-game. This caused a stir among the community, with accusations of false advertising.

It seems that NetEase has addressed these complaints, as patch 20250430, launching today will change the skin to look like what was advertised. This means that the additional zombie hands seen in all the promotional content will now be visible in-game. “Doctor Strange’s ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ costume now boasts enhanced visual details and voice effects to more accurately capture the essence of the costume theme,” says the patch notes.

Not only have the devs added what fans wanted, but the skin now comes with a cool voice pack as well. This has been received very positively by the community, as the skin not only looks better, but it shows that the devs are listening. “Just a casual W for them. Other devs need to take note,” said one comment on Reddit.

A lot of players even said that the skin is now worth its price. “I’m DEFINITELY buying the Strange skin when the changes drop. If I have to play the Sufferer Supreme, at least I’ll suffer in style.”
