Ifa Builds, Weapons, Artifacts, And Team Compositions Guide In Genshin Impact

Share

Whenever a new update launches in Genshin Impact, apart from all the latest content you can explore, there’s also a repetitive cycle of building new characters. This character building requires you to choose the right weapons and artifacts for the unit while also upgrading them, which takes fewer resources for a four-star.

These are the weapons and artifacts you’d want to use on Escoffier if you want to get the most value from her in Genshin Impact.

Ifa is one such four-star, and he was released during the Version 5.6 update as an Anemo Catalyst user. Ifa’s kit allows him to both be a sustainer and a support for the team, and he can massively boost the damage of Electro-Charged teams specifically once you build him properly.

A Tier

Being a Natlan character, Ifa also has an inherent ability that makes exploration more seamless in the form of flight. After pressing the Skill, he can hover in midair with Cucucu, his Saurian companion. You can increase or decrease your height in this mode, but the former consumes Nightsoul very quickly and doesn’t give you a lot of height unless you have Phlogiston.

This already makes Ifa a good character for exploration even if you don’t have him built since he can just be in the fourth slot of your team and help you cross gaps when needed. However, he’s a good unit even when it comes to the open-world combat. Ifa’s main gimmick is that he can support the Electro-Charged reaction while being on the field and healing the entire party.

Since you usually battle a group of enemies in both the open world and the Imaginarium Theater, he can be a good pick. However, he doesn’t work as well in Spiral Abyss since you usually fight bosses in it and Electro-Charged reaction isn’t the best.

Ifa’s Kit, Explained

Here’s everything you need to know about the different abilities possessed by Ifa and how you can use them:

  • When you’re in flight mode with Ifa’s Skill, you can press or hold your basic attack button to constantly fire Tonicshots at the enemies. On impact, these shots heal all your party members and apply Anemo on the enemies.
  • In the flight state, you can also hold your Skill button to move to the ground at a fast pace. If Ifa touches the ground, he’ll perform a Plunging Attack. If you stop holding the ability before that, he’ll continue hovering at the spot.
  • While in the flight state, Ifa gains Rescue Essentials for each Nightsoul Point possessed by the party. Each point increases the Swirl and Electro-Charged damage by 1.5 percent, with a maximum of 150 points base kit.
  • Ifa’s Burst is an AoE Anemo attack that deals damage, pulls enemies, and applies Sedation Mark on enemies who have Hydro, Electro, Cryo, or Pyro on them. Enemies with this mark trigger an additional explosion dealing AoE damage that belongs to the infused element after a few seconds.
  • Whenever your party members (including Ifa) trigger Nightsoul Burst, he can gain 80 Elemental Mastery for ten seconds.

Ifa’s Constellations, Explained

Being a four-star character, you can get Ifa’s constellations quite easily by either pulling on the character banner when he’s featured or randomly getting it on other banners. With that in mind, he also gets a lot of important buffs from these constellations that make him more viable:

  1. When Tonicshots hit opponents, Ifa can regenerate six Energy every eight seconds.
  2. During the flight state, past the first 60 Nightsoul Points possessed by the party, Ifa can get a total of five Rescue Essentials for each Nightsoul Point. His maximum Rescue Essentials limit is also increased to 200, with the overall Nightsoul requirement now being 88 for the maximum boost.
  3. His Skill’s current and maximum level is increased by three.
  4. The pull from Ifa’s Burst lasts three seconds more and he also gains a 100 Elemental Mastery upon triggering it.
  5. His Burst’s current and maximum level is increased by three.
  6. When holding your Basic Attack in flight mode, Ifa can launch an additional attack sometimes, considered as Normal Attack DMG. When he’s in flight state outside combat, he now consumes 20 percent less Nightsoul and Phlogiston, allowing you to fly for longer.

Ifa’s second constellation is already a good stopping point since he doesn’t get a lot of value past that.

Moreover, you’ll be able to get him to C6 eventually with passive summoning.

Best Ifa Weapons

Genshin Impact Ifa with sacrificial fragments in hand.

Now that you understand how Ifa works, we can dive into his build that first requires you to choose the best weapon for him available in your account. Ifa’s healing from the Skill scales on Elemental Mastery, and the extra damage he deals with Swirl also gets buffed with higher EM, making it the most important stat for him.

This can be reflected in Ifa’s weapon choices as well, with the best one being Sunny Morning Sleep-In. However, you have quite a few other choices if you don’t have access to that:

Best Weapons In Order

Synergy With Ifa

Sunny Morning Sleep-In

This is Yumemizuki Mizuki’s signature weapon, and since she’s added to the standard banner, it’ll likely not get a rerun for a long time. However, if you already have it, you can enjoy a whopping 265 EM by just upgrading it to level 90.

It further increases your EM by 120 after triggering Swirl, 96 after your Skill (Plunge Attack) hit opponents, and 32 when your Burst hits opponents. Since Ifa can trigger all of these, this weapon is the best in slot for him.

A Thousand Floating Dreams

While this weapon shares a similar EM secondary stat as the one above, it gives significantly less value since it’ll mostly give you extra Elemental DMG bonus for your party members being from a different element.

However, it can increase your entire party’s EM, which helps a ton with the increased Electro-Charged damage.

Sacrificial Fragment

While this weapon can give you up to 221 EM on the secondary stat, its passive is quite useless for Ifa. His Skill cooldown starts after he lands on the ground, which makes it unable to reset with the weapon.

Hakushin Ring

This weapon can work surprisingly well on Ifa since it can give the other Electro characters in your team a 20 percent Elemental DMG bonus.

However, because of its secondary stat being Energy Recharge, you’ll have to farm a lot more EM on his flower and feather artifacts.

Mappa Mare

This is a craftable four-star catalyst that only gives you 110 EM at the maximum level. However, when you trigger an Elemental Reaction, Ifa can get up to 32 percent Elemental DMG bonus with it.

While it might seem like this weapon has more buffs than Sacrificial Fragment, EM is far more important on Ifa than Elemental DMG.

Magic Guide

Finally, if you don’t have any of the above weapons, you can use this three-star to get 187 Elemental Mastery and increased damage since you’ll be attacking Electro or Hydro opponents often.

Best Ifa Artifacts

Genshin Impact Ifa with viridescent venerer set.

Once you’ve equipped Ifa with a good weapon, the main grind to building a character starts since you now have to put the right artifacts on him with some specific stats. Artifact sets can get special bonuses if you have two or four pieces from the same set, which is important for Ifa, with the best artifact set being Viridescent Venerer.

Outside of that, he doesn’t have too many options quite as valuable, but here’s what you can use:

Best Artifact Sets In Order

Synergy With Ifa

Viridescent Venerer

Apart from increasing his Anemo DMG, this set also further buffs his Swirl damage while reducing the opponent’s RES to the Swirled element, which will be both Electro and Hydro in his case.

Gilded Dreams

This set can also be a great choice on Ifa as it can give him up to 230 EM after triggering the Swirl reaction since all his party members will be from a different element.

Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

This set can work as a decent alternative as it regenerates some HP for him while increasing the party’s Elemental DMG by 40 percent. However, it gives less value since his team gets most of the damage from reactions and not personal character damage.

Since Viridescent Venerer is available much earlier than the other two sets here, you should mostly work on getting together that one for Ifa.

Ifa Artifact Stat Priority

Apart from the artifact set bonuses, you also have to focus on the main and sub-stats of each artifact on Ifa. However, this is quite easy since both the flower and feather pieces have a permanent main stat in the form of HP and ATK respectively. Here’s what you can choose for the main and sub-stats on the rest of his pieces:

Sands

Elemental Mastery

Goblet

Elemental Mastery

Circlet

Elemental Mastery

Sub-Stats

Elemental Mastery > Energy Recharge > ATK Percent

While Ifa doesn’t need a lot of ATK Percent, it can be a decent third stat to have on your artifacts to increase his personal damage a bit.

Best Ifa Teams

Genshin Impact Ifa team with ororon, raiden shogun, and yelan.

Now that you have your Ifa built with the perfect weapons and artifacts, you can finally use him in the open world and endgame modes. However, he’s largely useless by himself since he’s a support that needs Electro and Hydro off-field characters in his team specifically to work. While this is niche, he still has a couple of decent options:

Ifa’s Best Team

Ifa, Ororon, Yelan, Raiden Shogun/Yae Miko

Ifa’s F2P Team

Ifa, Ororon, Xingqiu, Fischl

Ifa’s Tonicshots count as normal attacks, which makes him work with Yelan and Xingqiu since he can trigger their additional attacks.

As a four-star character, Ifa has quite a lot of uniqueness to his playstyle. Firstly, he’s a sustainer who needs to stay on-field to get the maximum value from his kit, which means that you need off-field damage characters with him. Secondly, he only buffs Swirl and Electro-Charged damage, which means that his team members have to be Electro or Hydro.

Ororon is a staple in his team since he can continuously increase his Nightsoul Points whenever the party triggers a Nightsoul Burst or Electro-Charged reaction. This will help offset the Nightsoul Point requirement for Ifa’s passive, especially if you have the second constellation, which makes it a lot easier.

Ororon works a lot like Ifa in a way where he doesn’t have as much personal damage, but buffs Electro-Charged reaction itself.

Apart from Ororon, you can pick one Hydro and Electro applicator based on the availability on your account. The best choice for this is Yelan

and Yae Miko

since both of them also have a bunch of off-field damage. However, you can also replace them with Xingqiu or Fischl if you don’t have either of those characters, respectively.

Raiden Shogun

is also a great pick for Ifa since she can deal a ton of damage with her Burst and regenerate Energy for the party. However, she will slow down the team’s rotation a bit, and Raiden gets the most damage in Quicken teams.
