Summary

  • Amazon has released the first teasers for Fallout season two.
  • They included Lucy and Cooper heading towards New Vegas, and an ad read for New Vegas’s Lucky 38 casino.
  • Season two will start streaming this December, and Amazon has already renewed the show for season three.

We already knew the Fallout show had wrapped filming on its second season, and we now know when it will be here. The first teasers for season two have already been shared, confirming that the show’s next chapter will start streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime this December.

The assumption by fans, including myself, was that season two would begin in early 2026. Not only does Amazon have a tighter turnaround planned so that it can get us more Fallout before the end of the year, but as reported by Variety, the show has now officially been renewed for season three.

It looks like both of Fallout: New Vegas’ biggest factions will play a role in the show.

It was always pretty nailed on that Fallout would be getting a third season, even though Amazon hadn’t confirmed it yet. Not only because season one was a roaring success, but because Aaron Moten, who plays Maximus, recently revealed that when he and the rest of the cast signed up for the show, they were told that the plan is for Fallout’s adaptation to run for five or six seasons.

Lucy Is Headed To New Vegas For The Holidays

Plus, We’ll Officially Be Getting At Least Three Seasons Of Fallout

As for what Fallout fans can expect in season two, the show has been teasing the introduction of New Vegas, one of the most famous locales in the Fallout games, since the end of season one. It has now leaned into New Vegas being the backdrop for at least some of season two by showing Lucy (Ella Purnell) and Cooper (Walton Goggins) in his Ghoul form heading towards the post-apocalyptic version of New Vegas.

A second, longer teaser shows Cooper pre-ghoul and before the bombs dropped, or seemingly right after with what remains of society forced into the underground vaults that he helped sell. Now, the in-world celebrity is advertising products to vault dwellers. Sunscreen, even though they don’t see the sun anymore, and Nuka Cola, the official soft drink of Fallout that’s synonymous with the games, and now the show. You can see both teasers back to back below.

The third and final ad Goggins’ Cooper is forced to read for is a holiday to Lucky 38. For those who haven’t played New Vegas, that’s the casino/tower that dominates the New Vegas skyline, so another overt indicator that we’re headed there for season two.

There’s a chance that Fallout fans old and new will have something kind of new to play in the series at around the same time season two starts streaming. It’s believed Bethesda is working on a Fallout 3 remaster similar in scale to the recent Oblivion re-release. It hasn’t been officially revealed, nor is there any indicator of when it will be here, but it would make a lot of sense to release the remaster alongside, or right after, season two if possible.
