The setting of any horror game is vital. The when and where of everything that is going on in the story makes the plot easier to grasp and gives a little more depth to the game. The Last Of Us Part One And Two
The Last of Us series follows Joel and Ellie and their adventure through the clicker-infested world. After the initial sequence, the first game is set in 2033 and then the second game is set in 2038. Both games are set to occur in the near but distant future.
While the games aren’t full-out horror games, they are survival horror with plenty of moments that will put you on edge. It’s a stunning series to play with a few interesting twists and turns in the plot and plenty of obstacles to overcome.

The isolation of being underwater while surrounded by androids who believe they are humans makes this game rather unsettling.
When you start the game, you know very little about the current state of the world or where you are. Through clues such as notes and audio tapes, do you begin to learn what has gone on while Simon was unconscious.

Prey is a sci-fi horror game that takes place in an alternate timeline set in 2032. You will play Morgan Yu, who is aboard the Talos I on a research team while they are conducting a study to improve the human brain and human abilities.
Unfortunately, Morgan has lost all their memories and at the same time, is in quite a dire situation. In this timeline, aliens called Typhons exist, and they are quite aggressive. One of these aliens happens to be loose on the Talos I, and Morgan must survive, help other survivors, and regain their memory.
