Summary
- Inazuma transformed from a land of oppression to a hub of fiction thanks to our helpful interference.
- Gorou shines as a strong Geo support character in Genshin Impact, offering valuable defensive buffs.
- Yae Miko, a proficient character, serves as an off-field sub DPS, dealing significant Electro damage.
Genshin Impact’s Inazuma was once a land where you could neither enter nor leave, oppressed by the very Archon who was supposed to protect it. However, after our helpful interference with its events, it’s seen new light as the capital of all things fiction, with its light novels being read all over Teyvat, and the formerly tyrannical Archon now being our friend.

Is this Snezhnayan scoundrel right for you?
Inazuma was added at a very interesting time in Genshi Impact’s history as the first major expansion. There was a clear shift in how the developers wanted the game to be, and it shows in Inazuma’s cast as well. Some benefited from this shift in character design ideology whereas others got the shorter end of the stick. Still, the region gave us a splendid roster of characters that filled many roles, and we’ve compiled the strongest of these to show you the best Inazuma characters in Genshin Impact.
8
Gorou
Gorou
is one of Sangonomoya Kokomi’s most trusted subordinates, leading the soldiers at Watatsumi Island and ensuring all those fighting with him never give up. As a playable character, Gorou is a strong Geo support who primarily buffs the DEF stat of his allies.
What makes Gorou so great is that he’s the strongest yet most readily available DEF buffer in the game. His simple-to-use playstyle of using your Elemental Skill before swapping out to your DEF hypercarry is straightforward for casual players, and his utility and strong buffs make him a necessity in any good DEF-scaling team.
7
Yae Miko
It’s no small feat to talk to an Archon on equal footing, yet Yae Miko
almost treats the Raiden Shogun like a child at times. Having grown up alongside Ei, the two have a relationship unlike any other. While Yae isn’t scorching entire islands with her Electro the same way the Raiden Shogun does, she’s still one of the most proficient and cunning characters who aid us in our journey.

Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Kinich
Kinich’s massive, pixel-art dinosaur isn’t his only weapon in Genshin Impact.
In your team, Yae Miko will fill the off-field sub DPS role, dealing damage to enemies without taking field time. Yae does this by summoning her Sesshou Sakura, totems that stay on the field and rain down thunder on nearby enemies. This deals a lot of damage and is further elevated by her Elemental Burst, which results in high bursts of damage as well. She may not provide much else, but Lady Guuji isn’t one to be underestimated.
6
Arataki Itto
Genshin Impact’s hypercarries come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and species, and this beloved Oni and his cow companion are among the best DPS characters in the game, and the strongest in the niche of DEF-scaling hypercarries.
When you’re using Arataki Itto
as your active character, you can make use of his combos to unleash absurd amounts of damage as he swings his club around. He might be more difficult to use effectively, but the damage he deals and how fun he can be to pilot is well worth the extra effort.
5
Sangonomiya Kokomi
Healers don’t have the best reputation in Genshin Impact. From a purely meta and DPS standpoint, this makes sense; putting a healer on your team means you’re losing out on either a sub DPS or a buffer that would result in better team DPS. However, certain Genshin Impact healers betray this trend, and Sangonomiya Kokomi
does so with unparalleled grace.

Genshin Impact: Best Weapons For Rosaria
Rosaria is a useful addition to your Genshin Impact team when equipped with the best weapon.
Kokomi is a Hydro catalyst user who does quite a few things for your team. First, she’s a splendid healer who can do burst healing using her Elemental Burst for your entire team, or heal your active character from off-field using her Elemental Skill. Kokomi also has decent damage, and her being a catalyst user lets her apply tons of Hydro with her Normal Attacks, making her a versatile healer who fits many roles.
4
Kuki Shinobu
Arataki Itto might be a strong character, but he’s outshined by the Arataki gang’s lawyer/manager/caretaker, Kuki Shinobu
. In the game, she’s a responsible older sister character who resolves Itto’s antics and keeps him from getting too deep in trouble, and part of it shows in her kit as well.
Shinobu is a healer who damages herself to heal allies, just like how she sacrifices her comfort and peace to ensure Itto and his friends stay okay. Her healing is decent, but since she only heals the active character, you won’t be playing Shinobu just because you need a healer. Instead, Shinobu is a splendid off-field Electro applicator, being a good defensive option in many Aggravate, Spread, or Electro-Charged teams. However, where she shines the most is as a Hyperbloom trigger, and with how strong Hyperbloom teams are in general, putting her any lower wouldn’t make any sense.
3
Kamisato Ayaka
Pyro characters have been populating the Genshin Impact hypercarry meta for as long as the game began, starting with Diluc and only continuing to increase exponentially, with Mavuika and Arlecchino having levels of damage unseen by other elements. There’s the occasional Hydro carry, such as Neuvillette or Mualani, but Cryo has been absent from the DPS scene for a long time, with Wriothelsey not even coming close to the levels of his competitors.

However, in the frozen sea that is the meta, Kamisato Ayaka
still reigns supreme years after her prime. Her kit gives her various different playstyles. From being a Skill and Burst carry to one who uses her Normal and Charged Attacks for damage, Ayaka can do pretty much anything in any team you put her in, be it Melt or Freeze. She might need strong teammates, but Ayaka is a character that is well worth the investment required.
2
Raiden Shogun
The Archon of Inazuma represents thunder itself, how it sparks into existence and destroys all in its wake. In Genshin Impact, Electro is the element of Energy Recharge, with most strong Electro characters having some ways of manipulating Energy, be it their own or someone else’s.
The Raiden Shogun
is arguably the best Energy Battery sub DPS in the game, working in both DPS and support roles. Passively, so long as her skill is activated, she increases the damage of all your party members’ Elemental Bursts, giving her a huge advantage in teams with characters like Xiangling or Yelan. She also lets these characters Burst more often without building as much Energy Recharge, since Ei’s Elemental Burst grants the most Energy of any other skill in the game to your entire team.
All of this, and she still has competitive levels of damage, both in terms of fast, burst damage with her Elemental Burst’s initial hit, as well as consistent DPS from the Mushou Isshin state.
1
Kaedehara Kazuha
While Genshin Impact certainly has amazing hypercarries that can nuke enemies down with a single hit, it’s the supports that truly shine in the meta. There are a couple of reasons for this, with the main one being that supports are simply more versatile. Hu Tao, Arlecchino, and Neuvillette all do the same things, just in different ways, whereas a single support can enable many different team archetypes.

When we talk about good supports, any avid Genshin Impact player would immediately bring up Kaedehara Kazuha
, and not many would disagree. Kazuha has everything a strong buffer needs; he can use the Viridescent Venerer artifact set to reduce enemy Elemental RES, use his own passive to grant allies increased damage, group up enemies, and lastly, deal a decent amount of personal AOE damage. Kazuha is the undisputed king of buffs, with only Xilonen ever threatening his throne.
