In Revenge of the Savage Planet, you are forced to come to terms with the harshest thing that humanity has ever faced – corporations. Emboldened by the number of smaller companies that they have consolidated, you are laid off from your job as soon as it starts in this new star system, and you’re left to your own devices.

You’re gonna need a lot of Ferrous Goo for this one.
And in that time, Slappi just loves to offer you challenges to keep you occupied. It wouldn’t do to be bored. One of those challenges is Ice Ricochet, tasking with with tactically freezing and dispatching of enemies. There are a few requirements in actually completing it though, so here’s the best way to do it.
How To Unlock The Ice Ricochet Challenge
In Revenge of the Savage Planet, you are often given challenges by Slappi throughout the story. When completed, these grant you the chance to upgrade your abilities even further, so it is essential to complete these as soon as you can. These challenges come with four smaller challenges each, and there are four sets in total, too.
Ice Ricochet is part of the third set of challenges. It asks you to defeat three frozen enemies at the same time with a single Bounce Shot. So let’s do it.
How To Complete The Ice Ricochet Challenge
Before we start into this challenge, we need to have unlocked the Bounce Shot ability. This is an upgrade to your blaster, allowing it to be charged one stage further than the Charge Shot. The Bounce Shot, as the name implies, also jumps between nearby enemies to deal damage to all of them.
There is also a Bounce Blast upgrade, though this isn’t needed for this challenge.
With Bounce Shot unlocked, we need to find our area of operations. There is only one way to freeze enemies in the game, and this is with the Ice Detonator plant, which can be found on every planet in the game. This can also be achieved anywhere, but the easiest location in which it can be completed would be in Zenithian Rift where the enemies are more densely packed and where Ice Detonators are most common.
So, we need to freeze three enemies together and then defeat them all in one swift blow with a Bounce Shot. Thankfully, this isn’t too hard once the enemies are actually frozen. When frozen, enemies die in a single hit. So as long as they are close enough together, the Bounce Shot will defeat them all easily.
This applies to all enemies, no matter how weak or strong they normally are. The best thing to do is bait multiple enemies into following you, then shooting the Ice Detonator when they’re all near it. Keep in mind that you are also susceptible to freezing, and by the time you break out of it, you likely won’t have enough time to charge your Bounce Shot to defeat the enemies. So keep your distance from the Ice Detonator.
If you are struggling to get the enemies you need close together, then don’t be afraid to throw some bait on them so they attack one another. Only do this on stronger enemies so they don’t immediately kill each other. Then once they’re frozen, let that Bounce Shot loose.
