How To Reset A Bounty
Getting rid of your bounty in Rune Slayer is a simple process, but it’s crucial to act fast. The moment you start accumulating bounties from PvP fights or assassination jobs, you become a moving target. Guards will attack you on sight, and other players won’t hesitate to take you down for the reward. If you let your bounty rise, escaping town without a fight becomes nearly impossible.
To clear your bounty, you need to find an NPC named Lockmeier. He is the only character who can reset your bounty, but he won’t do it for free. You will find him in Wayshire, the starting town. Look for him near the wooden cart that stands across the path leading to the Guild building. Once you find Lockmeier, interact with him to initiate a dialog in which he will offer to reset your Bounty. Click “Sure” to do so and pay the NPC.
The price depends on how many crimes you have committed, how serious they are, and how long you walk around with a bounty on your head. It can range from a few silver to dozens of gold coins.
A low bounty prevents unnecessary fights and helps you avoid losing valuable equipment. On the other hand, if you want to make money, hunting players with a high bounty can be a profitable activity. Many players are in no hurry to pay bounties, which means that there is always someone with a reward on their head waiting to be grabbed.
