How To Play As The Martial Artist

One of the most important things when playing as a Martial Artist is learning how to chain your attacks. Most of this archetype’s moves are at fairly close range, so you can only use them against stationary opponents. Fortunately, your unblocked basic attacks put enemies in a stun-like state, letting you complete a simple combo string with Bullet Barrage and Head First. However, you can only execute Whirlwind Drop when the opponent is lying on the ground.

The same close-range approach applies when you’re in the Dragon’s Descent mode, although to a slightly lesser degree. In your enhanced phase, your moves have significantly higher range, letting you beat up some zoning characters that would otherwise give you trouble in your normal phase. Overall, your main goal should just be to close gaps, and your attacks will effortlessly handle the rest.
