Lego has been a little quieter on that Star Wars front in 2025 compared to 2024 since last year the two parties were celebrating 25 years of working together. That quiet period is about to come to an end with Star Wars Day on the horizon though, and a new set that clocks in at just short of 3,000 pieces has been revealed.
Lego has revealed Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship. Rumored for a while thanks to leaks, the set’s store page is now live, confirming it will be released on May 4, 2025. If you’re a Lego Insider, you will be able to pick up the set a little earlier on May 1. That might mean it’s with you by the time Star Wars Day gets here, and the only thing better than buying Jango Fett’s Lego Starship this Star Wars Day would be building it on the most Star Wars day of the year.
If you don’t want to wait the extra four days to buy the Lego Starship, you can sign up to become a Lego Insider here. It doesn’t cost anything, lets you buy select sets early, and you can accrue points with each purchase that can be exchanged for items on Lego’s website and in-store.
Star Wars might be the IP with the most Lego sets – there are reportedly almost 1,000 of them – and Jango’s Starship is going to be one of the bigger ones. The Starship set has 2,970 pieces and comes with two debuting minifigures. Impressive that there are still characters from a galaxy far, far away who haven’t been turned into Lego yet, but Jango Fett and a young version of Boba Fett will be given the Minifigure treatment for the first time via this set.
This Year’s Star Wars Day Set Is Jango Fett’s Starship
2,970 Pieces, $299.99, And Available From May 4
The size of the set means it’s also going to be an expensive one. You will need to part with $299.99 if you want to have a Lego Starship of your own next month. It’s slightly more than 17 inches long, and since it’s a bit of an awkward shape for a Star Wars ship and stands vertically instead of flat, it comes with a stand for display purposes, complete with a plaque that features a little blurb about the Starship’s place in Star Wars history.
As big as it is, Jango’s Starship may well be dwarfed by a far bigger Star Wars set releasing later this year if the rumors are true. It’s believed a Death Star set is in the works that will be made of 9,000 pieces and cost $1,000. If accurate, it will be the most expensive Lego set ever, but surprisingly not the biggest, although it will crack the top five.
