Pokemon TCG Pocket has been following a pattern of releasing a single new booster pack between larger expansions to keep players occupied. That pattern will continue, and the addition of its next booster pack is only a week away.
Revealed via a new trailer, the name of Pokemon Pocket’s next booster pack will be Extradimensional Crisis. As the name of the pack may have given away to some Pokemon fans, it will revolve around the introduction of Ultra Beasts to the hit virtual version of the TCG. Introduced to the series via Sun & Moon, Ultra Beasts arrived in Pokemon from an alternate dimension, hence the name of the booster.

Buzzwole is the star of the Extradimensional Crisis booster pack and will feature on its cover art. The Pokemon’s ex card is also the first shown in the reveal trailer for the mini expansion, with a focus on the Ultra Beast tag in the top right corner to make sure you don’t miss it. Other Pokemon that will be introduced to Pocket for the first time via the next booster include Nihilego, Guzzlord, and Celesteela.
The Next Booster Pack Arrives Next Week
There will be more than just Ultra Beasts included in the new pack, of course. Pokemon hasn’t revealed exactly how many cards there will be to collect in its new set-between-sets, some of the other new additions joining the game alongside Buzzwole and the Ultra Beast gang are also shown off in the trailer above.
A Tapu Koko ex card is among them, as is a very nice-looking full art Rowlet card that I’ve already got my eye on. As has usually been the case for Pocket’s new sets and booster packs, the Extradimensional Crisis packs will be ready and waiting to be opened on a Thursday. Specifically, exactly one week from now, on May 29.
That means you’ve got a week to save up your pack points, which I know you will have burned through on Celestial Guardians packs weeks ago. Instead of spending points on packs for the next seven days, use this time while you’re saving to hone your battle skills. If you’re not already using Banette, you really should be. Trust us and give it a try.
