Those discussions used to just be saved for Dragon Ball GT, but they’ve now moved over to the latest series, Dragon Ball Daima.

When Daima was first announced as a series that Toriyama had a lot of involvement in, it was easy to assume it’d be canon to Z and Super without much trouble. That all changed when Vegeta and Goku started busting out new transformations that they would surely have used in the rest of the series, leaving it up to debate whether they exist in the same continuity as Super or Dragon Ball Z.
Sparking Zero Seems To Agree That Daima Isn’t Canon To Super
It’s All In The Girl Talk, Baby
We’ve had a few bits of evidence supporting the idea that Daima is in its own universe outside of the other series, but it seems even more concrete than ever thanks to Sparking Zero. The second DLC pack for the game, which is based on Daima and adds characters and forms from the show, just released today, giving fans access to the new fighters.
Beyond adding all of the playable characters, the DLC also includes some new “Girl Talk” options between Bulma, Chi-Chi, and Videl, who will comment on each fighter and give their opinion on them. These have always been mostly for laughs, but Twitter user DokkanAssets pointed out something very interesting about their reactions to the Daima additions.
If you choose to hear what Bulma, Videl, and Chi-Chi say about any of the new Daima characters, you’ll find that all three of them have no idea why Goku and Vegeta look like children or who Glorio and Panzy even are. Considering it’s confirmed these are the Super versions of Chi-Chi, Videl, and Bulma, it suggests that Daima is in its own continuity, as Bulma definitely should remember the events.
It’s worth noting that Girl Talk isn’t supposed to be taken too seriously, so it’s not really a definitive answer. It is an interesting bit of evidence for Daima’s position in the franchise, though.
For those who don’t know, Bulma is present throughout most of the events of Dragon Ball Daima and knows who Glorio and Panzy are, as well as why Goku and Vegeta look like kids. With the Super version of Bulma being so confused about it in Sparking, it seems to suggest Daima isn’t canon to Super.
