Where To Find Every Orange Goo On Quasadron IX In Revenge Of The Savage Planet

Share

Not everyone has a head for creative or logical naming conventions. In Revenge of the Savage Planet, you’re just a single person jetted off to a whole new star system, and then laid off from the company that sent you there. You are qualified for exploration, not naming. So it makes sense that some collectibles have rather simple names.

The sci-fi sequel goes bigger, but is it better?

For example, you come across a mysterious, orange, oozing plant that, admittedly, looks rather delicious. What should that be named? Orange Goo, obviously. There’s quite a few of them to be found in Quasadron IX, so let’s get into the process of finding and eating them all.

What Does Orange Goo Do?

There isn’t a strict leveling system in Revenge of the Savage Planet. You don’t gain experience from your actions, but you can increase both your Health and Stamina. And how do you do that? By eating Orange Goo, of course! The more you eat, the more Health and Stamina you gain.

You do not gain more with each one you eat, however. Rather, you need to eat a certain amount to gain more. For example, you will only need to eat one to gain your very first increase, but later increases may take six or more Orange Goo before you gain a new level.

There is also no excess Orange Goo, so you will need to gobble them all up if you want to max out your Health and Stamina.

There are 24 pieces of Orange Goo to be found across all of Quasadron IX, just like every other planet. Stellaris Prime is the sole exception to this, with 31 pieces of Orange Goo to be found. Quasadron IX is a large planet though, so you’ll need quite a few abilities to be able to navigate it all to find those pieces of Orange Goo.

With Quasadron IX being the final planet you come across, it’s very possible you will already have all the tools you need to be able to gather all the Orange Goo, so you should be able to speed through the gathering process.

Savannah Lake – Six Orange Goo

Savannah Lake is the largest area of Quasadron IX, and comes with the most Orange Goo as a result, with six to find in total. Here’s where to find all of them:

  • The first is found right in the centre of Savannah Lake on the small island. The Goo is hidden inside the bushes.
  • This is found on the edge between Savannah Lake and Florian’s Fuschia Festivus, on the large cliff surrounded by Mesmertoxin.
  • The third is also found on the border of these two regions, sitting atop a tall pillar. You must first climb the hills before jumping down to this pillar.
  • The fourth is found underwater, and thus needs the Underwater Scooter. It is attached to the wall in the underwater cave, just be careful not to get blown away by the wind.
  • The fifth is found in the floating islands above the south of the region. This can be reached from the higher area surrounding it, either by jumping and gliding, or activating the grind rails.
  • The sixth can be found right by the fifth, further to the east encased in amber.

Crash Site – Two Orange Goo

The Crash Site has two Orange Goo to find. Here’s where:

  • This one is protected by a series of electrified plants that must be activated. Find the plants around the area and connect them with Ferrous Goo to open the hole into the ground.
  • This one can be found atop a very high pillar right on the edge of the Babutt Kingdom. This can be reached by just jumping along the thick stalks, though it is much easier with the free grapple.

Alta’s Trash Mountain – Two Orange Goo

Alta’s Trash Mountain is a whole lot of rubbish, but there are two pieces of Orange Goo mixed in. Here’s where to find them:

  • The first is atop a large stack of trash, which you can reach with just some jumps and the use of the gelatinous blob bounce pads around the area.
  • The second is found on the floating islands, where you just go to activate one of the lasers for Slappi’s shrine. It is found in a lower section that you must drop down to.

Babutt Kingdom – Four Orange Goo

The Babutt Kingdom is rich in unique creatures, but it is also rich in orange goo, with four to be found. They are located in the following areas:

  • The first is found right in the middle of the region, atop a pillar. However, it is also encased inside Amber, so you will need a Blight Bomb to destroy this. They can be found nearby, but having the ability to hold them in your inventory will make it much easier.
  • The second is beneath the massive tree. It is locked behind a crystal door, though a nearby floating island beside the teleporter has another crystal you can pick up to destroy ti.
  • The third is on the edge by the SUmmit, inside a cave that must be opened with a Blight Bomb.
  • The fourth is found on a small floating island, just south of the large floating island in Alta’s Trash Mountain.

Summit – Three Orange Goo

The Summit is a small area, but still has three Orange Goo to find. Here are each of them:

  • The first can be reached from a grapple point, though you must destroy it with a Blight Bomb. There are plenty nearby to pick up.
  • The third can be found in a cave below the summit itself, encased in Amber. Open it with some Blight Bombs.

Florian’s Fuchsia Festivus – Four Orange Goo

Florian’s Fuschia Festivus, which is both quite hard to consistently pronounce and type, has another four Orange Goo for us to find. Here’s all of them:

  • The first is just dangling below the arch with the Space Cabbage atop it. You can drop from the top and jump under, or use a boost jump from the bottom to reach it
  • The second is found just before entering the Summit, found dangling from the entryway arch.
  • The third is below the arid area here, instead in a cave in the electrified area below it.
  • The fourth Goo is on the border between both regions, though is below rather than above, in a cave.

Southern Rocks – Three Orange Goo

The last area in our search for Orange Goo, the Southern Rocks have the final three we need. They are found in the following locations:

  • A nice and simple first one, the goo is simply hidden inside some Blobulous.
  • The second is found on the ceiling between the upper walkway, though is also guarded by a tree. Feed it the kiwi slugs to release it.
  • The third and final Orange Goo is found deep in a cave. Entered from slight below the higher area, you must lower a large pillar at a certain point to drop deeper. After doing so, turn directly around to enter a small passage, with the Orange Goo waiting at the end.

And with that, you should have every single Orange Goo on Quasadron IX collected, and maybe even all of them in the game. Congratulations! At least you should have had enough Orange Goo to last you a lifetime.
