To craft weapons in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you’ll need various items. Not only will you need metal for you to smelt at a Smithy, but you’ll often need various other metal objects to put things together when you’re actually making the sword.

One of those metal items is Fastening Material, which will be used to fasten things like handles to swords. However, it’s not easy to find as it’s not sold by every trader and innkeeper you come across. You’ll need plenty of it as it’s needed to make most swords in the game.
How To Get Fastening Material
You’ll be able to buy Fastening Material from most Blacksmiths in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. However, there are two places you can head to easily.
You’ll find one in Tachov, who you make have done quests for early in the game, or you can head to the Blacksmith in the market in the centre of Kuttenberg. Both of those guys will sell Fastening Material.
You’ll be able to buy Fastening Material for just 1.3 Groschen each, but you’ll be able to get it a bit cheaper if you haggle well or have a good relationship with the merchant.
How To Use Fastening Material
Fastening Material is used to craft various weapons. Those weapons include the Knight’s Axe and the Hunting Sword. Simply head to a Smithy once you have what you need.
Then, interact with the anvil and choose the weapon you’d like to craft. If you have all of the materials you need, including Fastening Material, you’ll be able to start the crafting process. You’ll be putting the sword into the fire, before hitting it into shape.
We’d recommend getting a load of Fastening Material when you can and storing it somewhere. You can put it in a box in your room, carry it if you can, or put it in the storage on your horse.
